July 17, 2012 Day of Service at Magee : On Casey's 3rd "'Angelversary" family and friends teamed up in memory of Casey and provided service work at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia. The newest member of Magee's rehab team, Ford, a golden retriever, who was sponsored by the Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation, was introduced, and family and friends had the opportunity to watch Ford as he worked with patients. Dedication of The Fordham Observer Casey A. Feldman Newsroom (May 2012) : The newsroom of The Observer, the student newspaper of Fordham University's Fordham College Lincoln Center (FCLC), has been dedicated to Casey A. Feldman. The dedication took place to coincide with the Senior Awards Ceremony at FCLC, just prior to the culmination of the spring semester. Also unveiled at the dedication ceremony was a plaque remembering Casey and honoring Observer staff members who have been awarded scholarships stipends through the Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation. Dr. Elizabeth Stone, Casey's mentor and faculty advisor to The Observer stated, "I'm delighted to have Casey's spirit and talent recognized and immortalized in the renaming of The Observer office, now known as the Casey A. Brooke Runs the NYC Marathon in Casey's Memory - Nov. 7, 2010 : One of Casey’s best friends from Fordham University, Brooke Burdge, ran the NYC Marathon on Nov. 7, 2010 in Casey’s memory. The proceeds raised through the donations to Brooke’s race went to Back On My Feet, an organization that supports the homeless. Brooke completed her first marathon (26.2 miles) in an amazing 4 hours and 17 minutes! According to Brooke in her pre-marathon reflection,” I think about Casey a lot when I run. I guess it’s because of the overwhelming feeling I get that I am alive and present. Although she is not physically present with me each day, I still feel her with me and see signs of her…. I know I’d probably be getting a text from Casey before the marathon that said something along the lines of “Good luck, boo!!! You’re a beast!!” And I know she’d be out in the crowd somewhere to watch and cheer me on….. I won’t see her—but she’ll be there.” Brooke’s message immediately after the race: " Lady Gaga played outside by a DJ at Mile 8... Casey!... Woman in front of me dressed in all pink as the Pink Panther at the start... I had our picture on the back of my shirt... three other runners came up at different points and touched my shoulder and said "Caseys with you now"… Touched her bracelets when I felt weak. Felt a burst of energy at Miles 24-26…. Amazing amazing amazing day... happiest day of my life."

SJTSA Awards Luncheon (Oct 27, 2010) : Casey's parents, Dianne Anderson and Joel Feldman were recently recognized for their work with law enforcement officials and traffic safety experts to educate the public on pedestrian safety issues. A luncheon was held on October 27 by the South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance (SJTSA), and in addition to the Feldmans, 11 other individuals and organizations were honored for their contributions in the past two years. The Feldmans helped to create "Casey's Law," which requires motorists to stop and remain stopped for pedestrians in crosswalks (see also Media Coverage 2010 – N.J. Pedestrian Law on the Memories website). They have also lent Casey's image to be part of a pedestrian safety education and awareness campaign throughout South Jersey, as well as dedicated several pink trees to loved ones who were lost in traffic crashes. Summer Safety Campaign - SJTSA (summer 10') : The South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance (SJTSA) has kicked off their summer safety campaign, targeting the southern shore communities, using Casey’s face and story to add a human element to the dangers of unsafe driving and the need for pedestrians to use caution. They have been decorating pink remembrance tree and have purchased dozens of banners which are prominently displayed in the shore communities and throughout southern N.J. There are two separate banners, one addressing drivers and the other, pedestrians. Both have a picture of Casey with her face and dates. Casey and the Fordham Class of 2010 Graduate (May 22, 2010) : Casey was awarded a diploma which was accepted by her parents, Dianne Anderson and Joel Feldman at the Fordham University class of 2010 graduation on May 22nd. Casey's name was mentioned in prayer at the commencement for the entire university in the morning. At the separate diploma ceremony for Fordham College Lincoln Center (FCLC), the student speaker, David de la Fuente spoke of Casey as did Dean Grimes, President of FCLC who awarded Casey's diploma first. Casey was indeed remembered by the University and specially recognized. Casey's friends also wore a pink rose on the outside of their gowns as a special tribute to Casey. You may view the two 20 second video clips from David's address and from Dean Grime's address and Casey's parents' acceptance of her diploma at frames 34, 35 and 39. Other video clips of Casey's classmates are also interspersed among the photos. "Casey's Law" - NJ Pedestrian Safety Law (March/April 2010) : A new pedestrian safety law,inspired in part by Casey, went into effect on Ap.1, 2010 in New Jersey. Casey's parents, Dianne and Joel, spoke at news conferences in Newark, Cherry Hill and Ocean City on March 31, 2010, when state officials announced the new law to the public. Of Mice and Men (Feb. - Mar. 2010 : Henry Gibson, Casey's high school friend and fellow Springfield Theatre Workshop member, performed in many high school theatre productions with Casey. He is now a sophomore Theatre major at DeSales University and secured the part of Lenny in "Of Mice and Men", which ran from Feb. 24 to Mar.7, 2010. Henry dedicated his performance to Casey. Casey no doubt was proud of Henry's outstanding performance in this classic story by John Steinbeck! Way to go Henry! Henry said that when he auditioned for the part, he intended to, but accidentally forgot to take off his pink "Casey bracelet". The Casey Tree (Dec. 22, 2009) : We wondered what we could do this holiday season as an extra special tribute to Casey. In researching pink lights for our indoor tree the thought occurred to me that the most spectacular tribute would be to wrap our massive 325 year old sycamore tree in pink lights. Pink was Casey's favorite color. It took a crew of 3-4 men 3 days to do it, but it was completed on Dec. 22, 2009 for all to see. The sight brings tears to my eyes and the hope that Casey can look down and see her pink light shining on all of us. Pink Pillow Project (Dec. 3, 2009) : Since 2004, the Anapol law firm has been making and donating pillows for breast cancer reconstruction patients at the Hopsital of the University of Pennsylvania. This year, on Dec. 3, 2009 the project was dedicated to Casey's memory. The firm had the largest turnout ever this year for the project with over 25 people volunteering their time. Over 200 pink pillows were delivered to the hospital by 9:00 am on Dec. 4th with the first thank you email sent to the firm by a patient's daughter before the volunteers had even returned for their workday at the office.

Three Days of Rain (Dec. 7-9, 2009) : Casey's Fordham family member and 8B roommate, Christina Halligan, directed the play, "Three Days of Rain", dedicating the show in loving memory of Casey. In addition, in Christina's bio in the program, it is noted, "And to Casey, you have taught me the imporatance of home and love. This one's for you." The play ran on Dec. 7, 8, & 9, 2009 in the Kehoe Theatre at Fordham's Lincoln Center Campus. It was a spectacular theatrical production of which Casey would have been extremely proud. Way to go Christina and all those involved in the production!

SHS Student Theatre Workshop (STW) Tribute - Pink Performance 11-20-09' : The SHS Springfield Theatre Workshop (STW) has dedicated it's 2009-2010 theater season to Casey's memory. In addition, they held a special "pink performance" of the Laramie Project on Nov. 20, 2009 in which the cast performed in pink and wore the pink Casey memory bracelets. A reception was held before the performance in the "commons" outside the Knorr Theatre, where all in attendance could view a multitude of photographs of Casey. A plaque was dedicated in Casey's memory which now hangs in the Knorr Theatre at Springfield High School. Casey's first involvement in high school theater was in the Laramie Project in 2004. Thereafter, she performed in all subsequent productions until her graduation. She was also lead critic from SHS for the the greater Philadelphia Regional Cappies, a high school theater review and writing program, was "Best Actress" for SHS in 2006, and was the secretary for STW. Animal Haven's Casey Puppy (Aug. 09') : Casey volunteered during college at Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter in Manhattan. As a tribute to Casey, Animal Haven gave the name of "Casey" to the first puppy who arrived at the shelter after Casey's death.
