Springfield High School 2011 - Hayden Dahmn and Kelly O'Hara : The Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation awarded two $1500 scholarships to Springfield High School (SHS) graduating seniors, Hayden Dahmm and Kelly O’Hara. The awards were presented by SHS teacher John Gildea and Casey Feldman’s parents, Dianne Anderson and Joel Feldman at the SHS Senior Awards Ceremony. Ocean City High School 2011 - Shannon Allen and Stephanie Dennison : Two scholarships totaling $500.00 were presented to Ocean City High School Seniors, Shannon Allen and Stephanie Dennison on June 8, 2011. Chris Price Receives First Cappies Casey Feldman Scholarship (2011) : The first Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation Cappies scholarship was awarded at the 6th annual Greater Philadelphia Cappies Gala on May 15, 2011. The outstanding young man who received the $1000 scholarship was Chris Price from Lindenwold High School in N.J., who will be attending Rutgers University in the fall. Fordham University 2011 -Stefanie Wheeler : Fordham College at Lincoln Center senior, Stefanie Wheeler received the Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation scholarship for 2011. The scholarship enabled Ms. Wheeler to receive payment for an otherwise unpaid internship at FOX news for the spring 2011 semester. Without the scholarship, Ms. Wheeler would not have been able to intern for financial reasons. Quite gratifying is that Stefanie received a full time position with FOX News after graduation. Fordham University 2010 - Brooke Burdge and Ashley Wennersherron : Fordham University - Lincoln Center recognized Brooke Burdge and Ashley Wennersherron at the Senior Leadership Awards banquet held on April 27, 2010 in the Atrium at the Lincoln Center campus. Brooke and Ashley were recognized as the first recipients of the Casey A. Feldman Memorial Scholarship which was established at Fordham University, where Casey was a senior at the time of her death. Many of Casey's Observer friends and co-workers were also recognized, including roommates Kelsey Butler and Janine Repka. Springfield High School 2010 - Christy Kobasa : The first Springfield High School Casey Feldman Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to senior, Christy Kobasa who will be attending St. Joseph’s University in the fall. Christy was recommended by her National Honor Society advisor, Mrs. Natalie Tanner. The $3000 scholarship award was announced at the SHS Class of 2010 Honors Reception on June 2, 2010 by Springfield High School teacher and theater director Mr. John Gildea.
