Disney & Ft. Lauderdale 1/09 : The Feldman family traditionally takes a trip after Christmas when Casey and Brett are off from school. In the early years, it was always a ski trip, but in the last few years we headed to warm weather climates in part, due to Casey's request. In January 2009 we returned to Disney World since it had been many years since we had been there.We did the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Brett returned home after Disney World and we (Casey, mom and dad) went to Ft. Lauderdale for a few days, staying at Aunt Janice and Uncle Jim's condo. Among other things, we took the water taxi on a tour of the intercoastal waterway and enjoyed shopping, including an afternoon at the flea market. Casey planned an evening out for us one night at "Lips" a drag bar with a sister location in NYC which Casey had already experienced. What a fun that was! CO 7/07 & 7/08 : In July 2007 we took a pack trip on horses into Mt. Zircle National Wilderness in northwestern CO. We always tried to get some riding in on trips particularly for Casey.

Jackson, Wyoming & Yellowstone 6/06 : We took a trip to the Jackson, Wy. shortly after Casey's high school graduation. The trip included an overnight pack trip on horses and camping in a national forest. We also spent time in Jackson visitng with Casey's cousin Curtis and his girlfriend Jena as well a day in Yellowstone Park. A video taken by Casey at the campsite interacting with a Husky can be found at frame #39. Casey loved horses and riding and the pack trip was particularly scheduled with he in mind. We all had a great time.

NYC & Boston 05' : Casey began looking at colleges during her junior year in high school. She knew that she wanted to be in the northeast and in a major city. Philadelphia was out since it was too close to home. That left D.C., New York City and Boston. We decided to take a summer trip to Boston during which time Casey had tours of Emerson, Northeastern and the University of Boston. We also took the ferry from Boston to spend a day in Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod. On the way home from Boston we visited Grandma Gil Feldman in the Catskills. To complete the trip, we stopped in NYC and took the ferry from the lower end of Manhattan to get a close up of the Statue of Liberty and to visit Ellis Island.

Key West 04' : The family decided to go on an August vacation, per Casey's request, to Florida (never again for mom in the summer!). Casey brought her cousin Jamie and Brett brought his buddy Jason. We drove from Miami to Key West, where we had rented a home for most of the week. We were only there a couple of days and were forced to evacuate because of an impending hurricane. But in our few days there, we toured the island, went to the beach, went parasailing and of course, enjoyed the sunset and performers on Mallory Square. Since our Key West vacation was cut short, we returned to Miami and spent the rest of our time there. We enjoyed the beach outside of our hotel, shopping, visiting some of the neigborhoods, such as Little Cuba, and enjoyed an evening at the shops and restaurants along the harbor where the cruise ships pass. In fact, it was there that we ate at our first Bubba Gumps! I particularly remember Casey and Jamie's sheer delight in finding a Sephora (one of Casey's favorite make-up shops) near the Little Cuba neighborhood.
